Near the Kitsap County Fairgrounds along a major arterial, Fairgrounds Center is a multi-tenant retail facility with diverse business types ranging from branch banking to a Texaco service station. One challenging aspect of this project was to integrate Texaco’s corporate color scheme into the facade of the building. While their allowed colors are bright red, silver, yellow, gray and black, an attractive combination of these colors were incorporated into the building facade. Utilizing thin strips of red as an accent and silver banding for the sign marquee, a balance was achieved between Texaco’s corporate requirements and the interests of the other tenants.
