La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries

Located along Kitsap Way, the La-z-boy Furniture Galleries is an independent retail facility and part of Arnold’s Home Furnishings. The project included master planning for the 2.33 acre site with a 17,000 sf. furniture showroom, a 16,000 sf. shared warehouse space, and extensive remodeling to portions of the existing facility. Design challenges included integrating the two distinctly different building facades, parking for nearly 100 cars, and semi-truck loading facilities for receiving and distribution.
Subsequently, a second Lay-z-boy store was planned and constructed in the City of Tacoma.
